Starting from a template
Procright includes ready-made specification templates for common procurement categories. Starting from a template is often faster than writing from scratch.
Finding a template
Open My Specifications and switch to the Templates tab. Each template is shown as a card with a short description, item count, and the category it targets. Use the search field to filter by keyword (for example SIEM, backup, network).
Previewing and cloning
Click a card to open a read-only preview. The preview shows the category tree on the left, the selected requirement on the right, and the detected product category with its confidence. Close with Esc.
When a template matches your need, click Clone in Procright. All categories and requirements are duplicated into a new specification in your chosen folder. The clone is yours — edit, delete, or reorder freely. Changes don't affect the original template. You can also run the AI assistant on a clone to refine items for your scenario.
Choosing the right template
Pick the closest category, not the most generic one. A specific template produces a sharper starting point.
Check the item count. Comprehensive templates have a few hundred items; lighter templates are faster to trim.
Templates are also useful as a reference — opening one in your category shows what experienced buyers typically ask about.
