How 5-step product discovery works?

Discovery is Procright's shortlisting engine for product specifications. It takes your specification through five ranking steps, narrowing hundreds of candidates down to the few that match what you need.

Service specifications use a different discovery flow — see the service discovery article for details.

Starting discovery

Click Discover Products when it turns green to open the discovery page. A Step 0 of 5 progress badge appears at the top, with the detected category in the top right and a results counter that grows as the search expands.

The Region dropdown is preset to your country so local candidates are prioritised.

The five steps
  1. Product — Finds candidate products in your category. The pool grows from a few to a few hundred as local and global sources are crawled.

  2. Analyze Market Adoption — Filters products by adoption. The pool typically drops from a few hundred to around twenty.

  3. Local Support — Scores each product by the number of the vendor's official solution partners in your region.

  4. Interest Radar — Captures recent buyer interest in your region.

  5. Vendor Stability Index — Evaluates the vendor's financial and operational stability. The final pass leaves five or six candidates.

Use the Skip button if a step doesn't matter for your decision. You can add your own candidates with the Add Product button before moving to the next step.

When the shortlist is ready

Each candidate is rated across all five dimensions. You can pin candidates to carry forward, search for a specific one, or reorder by a single signal.

The Verify Requirements button at the bottom moves the shortlist into the comparison table.
